The project aims to transform the existing building located in Kartal district, reintegrating it into Istanbul while offering users a variety of programs within a single structure.

On the basement floor, accessible directly from the parking area, a swimming pool, instructor rooms, and changing rooms have been placed. The ground floor is designed as a Children’s Activity Center. The first floor accommodates both a Community House and a Disability Center. Although these two programs share the same floor, they function independently from one another. Spaces such as a library, multipurpose workshops, open work areas, classrooms, and an activity room within the Community House and Disability Center provide users with the environments necessary for research and collaborative production.

The Women and Family Center, located on the second floor, serves the district with programs such as a children’s education room, a multipurpose hall, and a library. This floor also includes a terrace.

On the façade, existing openings have been preserved, while additional ones were introduced to suit the designed programs. The new façade design allows controlled natural light to enter the building. Furthermore, the gallery void created within the existing floor structure enhances daylight penetration into the interior. Starting from the ground floor and connecting to Saraylar Street on the second floor, the ramp ensures that individuals with disabilities can fully and effectively experience the building.
